most of chinese songs suck---too commercial and too dry----always in 1 genre.
there r some great chinese songwriter/singer though, like david tao, leehom wang, joanna wang etc.
english songs r so colorful, so many different styles. and because caucasian place extra emphasis on emotion, and the lyrics of english songs r simple, straight forward, making it easy to bring out the feelings.
however, the amount of english commercial songs is increasin, like some of the hip-hops nowadays. and also the instrumentation in english pop songs r a bit too monotonous, like most of them tend to only choose drum, keyboard, guitar and bass(thats all?!).
nevertheless, i still love english songs more.
